A city in Canada – and the only destination in Vietnam – has been included in the new list of top travel destinations for 2024, and visitors to this gem on the East Coast can offer you a more leisurely holiday.
Travel Lemming recently announced 50 top places to visit in 2024.
This year’s list was curated by Travel Lemming’s in-house travel experts and focused on destinations with a slower and more sustainable pace of tourism.
Travel Lemming noted that with the “pent-up travel passion” from the last years of the final pandemic finally ending, “2024 is the perfect time to experience travel slowed down a bit.”
At the top of Travel Lemming’s list is Yucatán, Mexico.
Travel Lemming describes Yucatán as the perfect getaway from the bustling Cancun. Highlights include colorful towns, stunning cenotes, and “tourist-free” beaches.
Gizo, Solomon Islands, takes second place, offering travelers a unique tropical retreat.
In third place is Stavanger, Norway, a remote Scandinavian city famous for its breathtaking natural beauty.
Antigua, Guatemala, and Memphis, Tennessee, claim the fourth and fifth spots.
There is one destination each in Canada and Vietnam that made it into the top 10.
Following Phu Quoc, St. John’s in Newfoundland and Labrador is the 7th best travel destination for 2024. The website noted the city’s craft beer scene and beautiful hiking trails as highlights for visitors.
