A ski resort in Banff is hosting a special event to celebrate Canada’s heritage with ski tickets priced at just $18.67. On April 2nd, when U.S. tariffs officially take effect, visitors can ski at Mt. Norquay for only a fraction of the regular price—$118 for a full-day adult ticket.

The resort shared this information on Instagram, writing: “We are celebrating our Canadian heritage in the best way we know—on the slopes!” They encouraged visitors to purchase ski tickets in advance for just $18.67 and to wear red and white to show their national pride.

This event celebrates the 99th anniversary of Mt. Norquay, a ski resort owned and operated by Canadians. The resort invites skiers and snowboarders to join, wearing red and white to create a “Canadian spirit storm.”

The event honors Canada’s official founding on July 1, 1867, when the British North America Act was passed, uniting the colonies of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Province of Canada into one nation named Canada. Those who wish to participate can book ski tickets for $18.67 on April 2nd at Mt. Norquay through the resort’s website at shop.banffnorquay.com.
