According to a new study on TikTok, analyzing brunch trends in cities worldwide, Toronto has become one of the top destinations for brunch in the world.
The research, conducted by the clothing brand Pour Moi, delved into TikTok hashtags related to brunch to determine which city has the best brunch culture.
The rankings placed London, UK, at the top with an impressive 12.2 million TikTok views, followed by New York City in the second position with 11.1 million views.
Toronto secured the ninth spot in the list of top brunch destinations and was the only Canadian city to make it into the top 20.
Toronto attracted 2.8 million views on TikTok videos related to brunch. The research also revealed that the average brunch bill for two people in Toronto would set you back around $76. Despite Toronto, and Canada in general, being known for high food prices, Pour Moi noted that brunch in the city is actually more affordable compared to most of the other ranked places.
For reference, the cheapest brunch destination was Madrid, Spain, with an average cost of $51.81 for a brunch for two people. The most expensive was Chicago, with an average bill of $115.84 for a brunch for two.
