Try The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles in Mississauga

Try this unusual match’s new location in Mississauga.

If traditional fried chicken is a little too familiar to be “wow,” try a chicken and waffles duo. The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles opened a new location in Mississauga’s Erin Mills in mid-March. As well as a few locations in Toronto, there is also one at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Let’s join Culture Magazin on this tasty trip to explore the new place.

The menu features chicken with waffles (as the name implies), and customers can choose white or dark meat depending on their preferences. ODB, the joint’s bestseller, offers boneless dark meat,  a waffle, buttered maple and a special sauce called Dirty Sauce. What is unique about this spot is that all chicken is halal and hand-breaded in a gluten-free, signature flour blend. There are various portions, ranging from $7 to $18, for you to choose from. You can add fries and a drink to make a combo for an additional $10.

Their sandwiches are also worth trying, and customers can decide between a waffle or the famous Martin’s Bun. The Jerk sandwich is made with boneless thigh, Jerk BBQ sauce and coleslaw. The price for a sandwich is $12 but you can also make it a combo with an extra $4-$10.

The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles also boneless bites ($9-$16), chicken wings ($8-$15), cauliflower bites ($9) and fries ($9).

The unusual duo served here could bring a new flavor experience to your family picnics this spring. Also, COVID-19 happens creating a lot of challenges for local businesses, it means more than experience new food as you are supporting the locals.
