Born in Hanoi, Jessica Minh Anh grew up in Moscow and is a successful supermodel as well as a fashion show producer. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Business Information System from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (2006) and a M.Sc. in Marketing Communications from the University of Birmingham (2008).
Anh is currently the founder of model management agency JMA, located in Paris. Raising awareness about sustainable fashion is the goal of Anh’s Fashion X Sustainable series. These shows have been held at stunning locations around the world including the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tower Bridge in London and Petronas Twin Tower in Kuala Lumpur.
This February, Anh turned DHL Express’s airline exit at John F. Kennedy Airport into an iconic outdoor runway. With a backdrop of airplanes, helicopters, and energy-saving electric cars, the J Winter Fashion Show 2020 introduced the latest collections of designers from around the globe.
Anh noted that she wanted to raise community awareness and bring innovative thinking to sustainable development initiatives. “Since shipping and logistics are such a critical part of the fashion industry, it is important to highlight the option of green logistic solutions, which help minimize environmental damage and reduce transport related emissions,” she said. DHL, an international logistics company, was the show’s partner.
Through the Fashion X Sustainable series, Anh hopes to inspire the next generation to protect and contribute to a better planet.
J Winter Fashion Show 2020 was Anh’s 25th production since walking the catwalk on London’s Tower Bridge in October 2011. The notable names participating this year included Ani Alvarez Calderon, Vu Ngoc and Son, Cristina Sabatini, and Vietnam’s ready-to-wear brand RAP. Along with DHL, other supporters included Sofitel New York, Arch&Hook, IWG’s brand Spaces, Warren Tricomi, Glammfire, AOFM, Yukie Natori, Dermalogica, Veestro, scheimpflüg, Cream Ridgewood, Gotham New York, DJ REACHOUT, Jiffy Steamer, Radisson JFK Airport, and ECHOD.
