Lip Colours That’ll Help You Transition from Summer to Fall

It can be hard to find colours that flatter Asian skin tones, but you’ll want to rock these lipsticks regardless of the season.

There are two types of people when Autumn arrives: Those who are tired of the sweltering heat and can’t wait to wrap themselves up in cozy sweaters, and those dreading the return of the cold and cloudy weather. Regardless of the category that you fall into, we have curated a collection of lipsticks, especially for Asian skin tones that you can rock during that awkward transition period between Summer and Autumn.

Classic Red

It might be cliché, but there is nothing as classic or universal as a red lipstick. It’s bright enough to remind you of sunny summer days but still bold and moody enough to pop against the red, brown, and orange foliage of an autumn afternoon.

Plum

Matte plums and mauves are a staple when it comes to fall lip colours; however, they can quickly be warmed up with a touch of gloss. Not only are they more comfortable to wear than matte lipsticks, which can be drying on the lips, it also allows for more room for mistake.

Orange

From pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, to jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin is as fall of a fruit as fruits can get. Bring a little of these to your lips with an orange, or dare we say, pumpkin lipstick. Don’t let the bold colour deter you, with some careful blending, it’ll transport you right into a warm fall evening.

Deep Rose

A soft, deep rose that dries down to a powdery finish will pair well with almost any casual makeup look. When blended out, the colour could almost pass as a darker MLBB (my lip but better) making it suitable for any season, especially as summer turns to fall.

Dusty Coral

When we think of coral, we think of a bright orangey-pink that screams Spring or Summer. But this dusty coral lipstick is muted enough for any casual autumn days while still reminding us of warmer days.

Bonus: Black-Topper

Buying new lipsticks is fun, but makeup is expensive, and the cost can slowly build up. So, save money by instantly turning all your spring and summer lipstick into a fall or winter one with a black lip topper.
