A wedding day is always an important moment in human life. It is the start of a new journey with your other half. Therefore, finding a perfect venue for the “dream day” was a difficult task for me. A quiet place with fresh air but full of high-class services with long white sand shores and turquoise sea were what I expected for my wedding day. Thankfully, I discovered JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa, which I named “The Land of Happiness.”
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa welcomed me at sunset in December, an excellent time to organize the wedding. The first thing I did was wander along Emerald Bay’s beautiful Khem beach coastline. Here, I found amazingly romantic nature in the resort, yet the magical vibe of unique wedding venue was not overshadowed. Even though that time, the end of the year at the peak of the traveling season, could have been hectic, everything was quiet, which I liked.
Stepping into the main hall, I was greeted by the warm hospitality staff, who were nice but professional, always with a bright smile. I knew JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa through images on social networks, but only when I experienced it in real life did I utter a “wow.” It was hard to describe – both happy and thrilling. I knew that I had found a worthy place for the wedding of my life.
Our butler took us to check-in. On the way, he told my family about the resort. JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa was built by architect Bill Bensley, based on the unique design by Lamarck University which was built by the French when Vietnam was that country’s colony. In this resort, each space is a combination of classrooms and high-class resort services.
I was really overwhelmed by the villas. From colors to architecture, it harmonized perfectly with the natural beauty of this place. And the door opened when I was lost in a world of luxury, elegance, and high-class. The furnishings in the room were cleverly arranged to create a harmonious, overall image. I was impressed by the bathroom with the white bath, standing shower, washbasin, and vintage lamps, making my family feel lost in another world. Every corner and bit of furniture had been pain careful attention, including the sedge bags. JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa brought me absolute sophistication and comfort.
At night, there were many restaurants with different styles, leaving me with the impression of great space and architecture. My family decided on Pearl Pink for dinner, where my wedding was to take place. The pink light created a special ambience. We enjoyed delicious French dishes prepared by the talented hands of chefs and sipped fine wines.
Afterward, we went for a walk at the Night Market held every Friday night, on the resort’s main street, Rue de Lamarck. The market opened at 6 p.m., offering all the snacks of real Phu Quoc: coconut cream, Vietnamese mini savory pancakes, grilled foods, fruit beam, and more. There were folk dance performances, making us feel comfortable and my family walked and told jokes about us, the couple. After the trip, that time finally came for my wedding. At dawn, my favorite song was played. I took my father’s arm and walked step by step into the venue. Everyone was there, with their eyes on me. My heartbeat quickened. From afar, I could see my husband’s tears. My dream day had become real. Thank you JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa.
