Modern Shirting

A statement shirt in a modern cut is a key style trend this season.

While a white shirt will always be a timeless option, shirting has become more directional – think exaggerated sleeves, an oversized cut or interesting design detail.

A one-shoulder ruffled top is a contemporary option that creates an elegant neckline.  The asymmetry also makes it a perfect layering piece and an unexpected look can be achieved by layering a button down or tee shirt underneath.

A statement shirt will take you from work to play and pairs seamlessly with jeans, pants or skirts.

Challenge the norm and elevate your wardrobe with a twist on this classic piece.

Two-tone denim

The denim trends have come fast and thick – distressed, embroidered, and raw hems.  A new style to test is two tone denim, made cool by Parisian label Vetements.  The different, coloured panels create additional interest for your outfit and the wide range of interpretations means you can be as loud or as subtle as you like.

Red

Red is certainly having a moment. Wearing it from head to toe is the trend du jour however this can be a bit full on for every day wear.  For a more wearable approach, choose red accents such as shoes/bags or use a red clothing piece as the base for your outfit.   While a striking colour, red can also serve as a great “neutral”– it pairs beautifully with denim and other neutral colours.  Break free from monochrome and add some colour to your wardrobe!
