This year is the 20th anniversary of Bio Sculpture Canada and to celebrate, the company is introducing the Canada Collection which also honours Canada’s 150th birthday.
Four colours are in the collection with women’s names and personalities to match. Mignon is reminiscent of the northern lights, Natasha has bright red flowing through her veins, Icy Elsa is a shimmering ice queen and Margaux is lily blue French royalty. The most enigmatic
hue is Mignon, which magnetically reflects holographic colours.

In 1988 Elmien Scholtz introduced the first ever UV curing, soak-able, colour nail gel to the world. Bio Sculpture Gel is a non-chip salon treatment that cures to a strong and flexible, glossy finish that strengthens and protects the natural nail with colour that lasts for weeks.
“Your hands are your calling card in life, your nails their focal point,” explains Elmien.
Since childhood, Elmien was fascinated by beautiful nails. This fascination became her passion. She studied at the CIDESCO Beauty Academy in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape of South Africa. Her first salon was in Cape Town, but she couldn’t find any premium
quality nail care products. She continued her studies in the United States and trained in artificial nail systems in California but realized the product she was looking for would have to be developed from the ground up.
Her goal was not only set on beauty but also on health and safety and to protect the
environment. She consulted with scientists and came up with the Bio Sculpture Gel formula.
Today the Bio Sculpture head office is situated in the heart of South Africa in the small townof Clocolan.
